So we just went out for a field trip at a local(ish) farm, Jordan Farms with our homeschool group and picked pounds and pounds of the best BLUEBERRIES. Yum! It was a fun - if hot - outing, but as the old saying goes, "many hands make light work," and we were able to pick so many blueberries that we hardly had room for them - AND still bring home some beautiful green beans in just a short amount of time.
Beautiful, bountiful berries.
We found the mother of all blueberries. It was GINORMOUS.
Om nom nom. Soooooooo tasty.
And soooooooo much dirt.
Green beans! Fresh picked and fantastic.
Cooling off at the hand-pump. Fresh, cold water - and according to Jordan Farms' owner, the pump has been there since the 1920's. The water is so clean and clear, it's amazing!
It was a great time with friends and we came home with so much wonderful bounty! Work and play make the best combination.
Until next time,
-Kristen...
